about

This program brings together the three chamber scores that Weber wrote for the famous German clarinetist Heinrich Joseph Bärmann between 1811 and 1815. It is performed brilliantly by Pascal Moraguès, accompanied by his usual sonata partner Mari Izuha, and by the Pražák Quartet. The meeting between the clarinetist and the quartet was one of the key events of the 1999-2000 season, which this recording immortalizes.
