The Beethoven String Trio is made up of Czech musicians Pavel Hůla, primarius of the Kocian Quartet and thenof the Pražák Quartet, conductor and professor of chamber music at the Prague Academy (AMU), Josef Klusoñ and Michal Kaňka, respectively violist and cellist of the famous Pražák Quartet. After having played together for many years, they decided to formalise their joint experience. Their reference to Beethoven indicates that they concentrate resolutely on music from the 19th century up to the present day, the sole exception being their devotion to Mozart’s well-known Divertimento K. 563 and the Beethoven string trios masterworks.
