Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a convinced freemason and true brother. He composed music for his Lodge, never denied the meaning behind The Magic Flute and accepted a mysterious commission for a Requiem he never completed. Sixty years after her performance, Irmgard Seefried (1919-1988), Jennie Tourel, Leopold Simoneau, William Warfield live on, inspired by Bruno Walter’s legendary empathy conducting the New York Philharmonic.
