about

Brought together for the first time, an anthology of chamber music pieces which illustrates the blossoming of the last fires of a neo-Germanic romanticism joined to a Magyar nationalism treated in the manner of Brahms, playing on new colors and virtuosity in the legacy of the last Liszt, master of the symphonic poem like a trifle… without tonality. A tribute to a master, Ernő Dohnányi, who made the international glory of the Hungarian interwar scene and to his cadets, Bartók, Kodály, Weiner... instead of reserving his talent for his own use.

Awards: Diapason d’Or, 10 by Classica/Répertoire, 4* by Le Monde de la Musique, Opus d’Or, ClassicsToday.com, Klassik.com, Fanfare
