The Janáček Trio, simple homonymy of the pianist’s name with a famous patronymic, paid homage to Alfred Schnittke on the 10th anniversary of his death in 2008. The programme includes the Trio, which has become part of the international repertoire in its original version for strings since its premiere during the Alban Berg centenary, and virtuoso pieces showing off each of the members of this young Czech ensemble revealed at Classical MIDEM 2008.
